The state of Assam is best visited from November to May. The weather is perfect, there are cold winds blowing from the foothills of the Himalayas to reduce heat and humidity. Orchids bloom between March and May, and it’s a very happy season for locals who are busy celebrating Bihu, the harvest festival.
