a. The air mixed with dust and smoke is polluted air. How does the air get polluted in an industrial area ?
ধূলি আৰু ধোঁৱাৰ লগত মিহলি হোৱা বায়ুৱে হ’ল বায়ু প্ৰদূষণ । কল- কাৰখানাৰ চৌদিশ ত কেনেদৰে বায়ু দূষিত হয় ?
Ans: In an industrial area . the smoke comes out of the chimneys. due to which the air becomes thick with clouds of smoke. and as a result the air get polluted .
কল-কাৰখানাৰ চোদিশত , চিমনিৰ পৰা ওলোৱা ধোঁৱাৰ জৰিয়তে বায়ুৱে এটা ডাঠ আকাৰ লৈ ধোঁৱাৰ বাদলৰ সূষ্টি কৰে আৰু ফলত বায়ু-প্ৰদূষিত হয় ।
(b) Why do we need clean and fresh air ?
আমাৰ চাফা আৰু পৰিষ্কাৰ বায়ুৰ কিয় প্ৰয়োজন ?
Ans: We need clean and fresh air to breathe .
আমাৰ চাফা আৰু পৰিষ্কাৰ বায়ু উশাহ -নিশাহ ল’বৰ বাবে প্ৰয়োজন । If we will take dirty air inside us we may fall ill. যদি আমি বেয়া বায়ু আমাৰ ভিতৰলৈ লওঁ আমি বেমাৰ আজাৰত পৰিব পাৰো । Therefore the air we take inside should be neat and clean .সেইবাবে আমি সেৱন কৰা বায়ু সদাই চাফা আৰু পৰিষ্কাৰ হ’ব লাগে ।
(c) What happens when the air becomes polluted ? বাযু দূষিত হ’লে কি হয় ?
Ans: When the air becomes polluted, people can suffer from various diseases. বায়ু দূষিত হ’লে মানুহে নানান ধৰণৰ ৰোগত ভূগিব পাৰে । When polluted air goes into our lungs , we can fall ill . যেতিয়া প্ৰদূষিত বায়ু আমাৰ হাঁও-ফাঁওৰ ভিতৰলৈ যায় আমি বেমাৰত পৰিব পাৰোঁ ।
(d) Why is our environment getting Spoilt ?
আমাৰ পৰিৱেশটো কিয় নষ্ট হৈছে ?
Ans: The air is polluted all the time by smoke and foul smells due to which our environment is getting spoilt.
ধোৱা আৰু বেয়া গন্ধই বায়ু সদায় প্ৰদূষিত কৰে যাৰ বাবে আমাৰ পৰিৱেশ টো নষ্ট হৈছে ।
(e) How can we protect our environment ?
আমি আমাৰ পৰিৱেশটো কেনেদৰে সুৰক্ষা কৰিব পাৰোঁ ?
Ans: We can protect our environment by making people aware of the dangers of destroying the world around us. আমি আমাৰ বিশ্বৰ চাৰিওফালে হৈ থকা ভয়ংকৰ ক্ষতি সমূহৰ কথা মানুহক অৱগত কৰি আমাৰ পৰিৱেশটো সুৰক্ষিত কৰিব পাৰোঁ ।
(f) How do green plants and trees help us and our environment ?
সেউজীয়া গছ-গছনিয়ে আমাক আৰু আমাৰ পৰিৱেশ টোক কিদৰে সহায় কৰে ?
Ans: Green plants and trees helps us and our environment by the following ways-
(i) Green plants enrich the air with oxygen
(ii) They use up the carbon dioxide and other harmful gases.
(iii) Plants protects us from number of diseases.
সেউজীয়া গছ-গছনিয়ে আমাক আৰু আমাৰ পৰিৱেশ টোক বহু প্ৰকাৰৰে সহায় কৰে-
(i) সেউজীয়া গছ-গছনিয়ে অক্সিজেনৰ লগত বায়ু সমৃদ্ধ কৰে ।
(ii) সিহঁতে কাৰ্বন ডাইঅক্সাইড আৰু অন্য হানিকাৰক গেছৰ প্ৰয়োগ কৰে ।
(iii) গছ-গছনিয়ে আমাক বহু সংৰক্ষক বেমাৰৰ পৰা ৰক্ষা কৰে।
(g) What steps should we take to keep our environment clean ?
আমি আমাৰ পৰিৱেশ টো চাফা কৰি ৰাখিবলৈ কি কি পদক্ষেপ লব পাৰোঁ ?
Ans : To keep our environment clean we should take the following steps-
(i) We should clean our vehicles regularly to reduce the harmful gases.
(ii) Factories must adopt measures .
(iii) We should not through garbage into the river or seas.
(iv) We should not use pesticides and dumping of non – degradable household .
(v) We should plant more trees.
আমাৰ পৰিৱেশটো চাফা কৰি ৰাখিবৰ বাবে আমি কিছুমান পদক্ষেপ ল’ব লাগে –
(i) আমি আমাৰ যানবাহন সমূহ নিয়মিত ভাৱে চাফা-চিকুন কৰি থাকিব লাগে যাতে দূষিত গেছ বোৰ কম হয় ।
(ii) কাৰখানা বোৰে উপায় বহন কৰিব লাগে ।
(iii) আমি নদী বা সাগৰত যাৱৰ -যুথৰ পেলাৱ নালাগে ।
(iv) আমি কীট-নাশক দ্ৰব্য ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিব নালাগে আৰু পচনশীল নোহোৱা ঘৰৰ বস্তু পেলাৱ নালাগে ।
(v) আমি অধিক গছ ৰুব লাগে ।
(h) How does water become polluted ?
পানী কিদৰে প্ৰদূষিত হয় ?
Ans: Water becomes polluted by the following ways:
(i) Garbage’s that we throw into the water makes the water polluted.
(ii) Industries release their waste material into the river and make them toxic.
প্ৰাণী বহু প্ৰকাৰৰে প্ৰদূষিত হয়ঃ
(i) আমি পেলোৱা পানীৰ জাৱৰ -যুথৰ ৰ পৰা পানী প্ৰদূষিত হয় ।

Ans: Usage of too many pesticides, dumping of nan- degradable household and industrial wastes makes the soil polluted.
