Ans. Akela was the leader of the Wolf pack. Akela was the great grey lone wolf. It led the entire wolf pack by strength and cunning.

 Ans. Akela knew that men and their cubs are very wise. He knew that the baby might be a help in time. So Akela said Father Wolf to keep him in the wolf family.
