6. Group Work – Presentation
Presentation on Charaideo Maidams
Good morning everyone.
My name is Diya. Today, I am going to give a short presentation on the Charaideo Maidams. The purpose of my presentation is to share some information about this important historical site of Assam.
Let’s start with the definition. The Charaideo Maidams are ancient burial mounds associated with the Ahom royalty. They are located in the Charaideo district of Assam and are often compared to pyramids because of their structure and historical significance.
Now moving to the next point, the Maidams are closely connected with the Ahom dynasty, which ruled Assam for nearly six centuries. They are an important symbol of Assam’s rich history and cultural heritage.
Furthermore, the Charaideo Maidams are internationally recognised for their historical and cultural importance.
In addition, many visitors come to Charaideo to learn about the Ahom dynasty and admire these unique historical monuments.
In conclusion, the Charaideo Maidams are a valuable part of Assam’s heritage. They remind us of the glorious history of the Ahoms and of our responsibility to preserve historical monuments.
Thank you.
