23 December Farmer’s Day

Farmers’ Day is celebrated every year on May 29 in memory of Chaudhary Charan Singh, a former Prime Minister of India. Charan Singh died on the 29th day in 1987. Charan Singh, a son of an ordinary peasant family, established himself with great difficulty. Despite being the Prime Minister of India for only a few days, Charan Singh took several welfare schemes for the farmers. He enforced it. Abolition of zamindari system act. Charan Singh gave more importance to Gandhiji’s agrarian social system than Jawaharlal Nehru’s urban socialism. Farmers are also encouraged in various ways along with remembering Charan Singh on The Agricultural Day. On this day, the Central Government announced various schemes taken for the farmers.
