Raipur. Chhattisgarh state came into existence on November 1, 2000 after separating from Madhya Pradesh. The mythological name of the kingdom is Kaushal Rajya, which is called The Nanihal of Lord Shri Ram. It got the name Chhattisgarh 300 years ago during the reign of the Gond tribe here.
